What we collect, why, and how it's used.
Your phone number identifies your account across every chit you join, at any company. Your PIN unlocks the app — we never see it in plain text. A one-time SMS code verifies a phone number the first time it's ever added to any chit, anywhere.
Line boys record collection amount, date, and payer against a chit — that's the ledger. Payers get an SMS receipt the moment a payment is marked, as a check against the record.
Chitfund Ledger is cash-tracking only — it records what was collected and remitted, it never moves or holds money itself. We don't sell your data, and payer accounts carry no ads on payment or receipt screens.
A chit's owner and its line boys see that chit's members and collections. A payer sees their own payment history and standing across every chit they've joined. Line boy accounts are scoped to one company; payer accounts are not shared across companies without your own phone + PIN login.
